To be rich, get your priorities right first

Ego is a major problem when it comes to wealth.

For many, even the promise of a big payday will lead to spending before you even have it! This is a common money habit but a BAD money habit.

I’m about to get a pay rise – yes, let’s buy a new car. Using debt of course, because you can now afford the repayments.

I received an inheritance – yes, let’s go on a holiday.

I wanna have fun now! This is the mindset of the poor and middle class.

As is obvious, not a very successful one. The term delayed gratification is not in their vocabulary.

An alternative option is to save your money (don’t increase your spending) and then use it to buy assets that either provide income or have the capacity for strong capital growth. Which you choose depends on your goals and situation.

If you continue to repeat this 24/7/365 for many years you get the chance to live life like few can. Without a money worry in the world.

The wiser goal is to be rich but not look rich. There’s a big difference.
